The hits didn’t stop for Nate Robinson following Jake Paul’s knockout punch in his humiliating boxing debut on Sunday (AEDT).

The former Knicks star became Twitter’s punching bag on Sunday, with Steph Curry and wife Ayesha offering immediate reactions.

“Gonna shock the world bro,” Robinson said in a previous tweet, to which the Warriors superstar joked after the fight, “I see no lies”.

His comment was immediately interpreted as a cold-blooded shot at how shockingly bad Robinson looked in the ring.

Curry also posted, “Be ok Nate……come on man.”

Curry’s wife Ayesha also commended Robinson for stepping out of his comfort zone despite the result.

“Don’t care about the KO, I just think it’s cool to see someone trying something new and stepping out of their comfort zone. That’s dope and inspiring. You don’t have to just be one thing. I never want to live a life where I look back and say I didn’t try something I wanted,” she posted.

Robinson finally made a public comment hours after his fight to let fans know he was doing “OK” after getting knocked out by Paul less than two minutes in to the second round of his pro boxing debut Saturday.

“Thank you everyone for all of the well wishes, I’m OK,” the 36-year-old wrote on Instagram.

“I appreciate @triller for the opportunity as well as everyone that has backed me during the fight. To my coaches, trainers, fans, and teammates, I appreciate all of the time and support you guys put in with me.

“It wasn’t the outcome that we wanted, but I’m thankful for the opportunity to fight on the biggest stage that there has been.”

Paul dropped Robinson twice in the first round, but the three-time NBA slam dunk contest champion was allowed to continue despite struggling to get back on his feet well after a standard 10-count would have seen the fight ended.

However, the third time Paul dropped Robinson the fight was officially called when Robinson face-plated coming forward following another painful jab.

Robinson failed to get back to his feet for several minutes and was lying on the deck motionless for several minutes.

Veteran boxing commentator Teddy Atlas could see the fight wasn’t going to end well early in the contest.
